What we ask of a breeder

Every breeder is approved by a person before a single puppy is listed. This is the whole of the standard — there is nothing else behind it.

  • Health testing on both parents, and you can say exactly what was done — hips, elbows, eyes, heart, and the DNA panel for your breed.
  • Papers, or a straight answer about what the puppies come with instead.
  • A vet who knows your dogs and will take a call about them.
  • Puppies stay with their mother to at least 8 weeks. This one is not negotiable.
  • Photographs of where the dogs actually live — the whelping area and where the adults are kept, not only puppy portraits.
